Very surprised at how even handed this is. They should have listed groups that are based in the prison system across the U.S. though.

The site is maintained by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The SPLC was founded in 1971 by Morris Dees and Joe Levin, and has always been even-handed in opposing racially motivated crimes. They are the group that single-handedly crippled the modern Klan by obtaining rulings at the highest court levels that the private property (personal and real) of Klan members could be taken to satisfy judgments against the organization as a whole. It is also the organization that Julian Bond presided over for many years before he was asked to rescue the NAACP from scandal by chairing it. They also produced a famous TV documentary about the modern-day Klan.
