What are some of those negative rumors? And how did you find all of us here at ODR?

Who originated this site? What are the religious, social and political motivations behind this site? Is there anyone out there who is not too intimidated to share this information without attacking me? I would really appreciate it. My husband just told me about the negative rumours surrounding this site and I didn't want to believe him. Somebody please prove him wrong!

I started this site. My pseudonym is Frank W. Sweet and I am a doctoral candidate in history, specializing in how the U.S. "race notion" evolved and changed over the past four centuries. My real name is Francisco Valiente and I am a Puerto Rican. You can find out more about me personally (and my wife Mary Lee) by visiting our performance website. You can learn more about my professional interest in the U.S. "race" notion by visiting my publishing company's website. You can learn about the purpose of the discussion group by reading The Rules and The Faqs. There is also a brief introduction in the forum management section. Regarding "negative rumors," if you tell me what they are, I would be happy either to refute or confirm them.

I would be curious to know what those negative rumors are as well. Whatever they are, they don't seem to be affecting membership.

As long as people can back up their statements with verifiable facts (unless an opinion is simply ones personal point of view and is stated as such) I find all voices being respected (maybe not always agreed with which is OK and to be expected) and heard here.

This is my take anyway.
