Sharisse "Shar" Jackson (born September 4, 1976), is an American television and film actress. She portrayed one of Brandy's best friends, Niecy Jackson, in the UPN show, Moesha. She had bit parts in other television shows, including UPN's Girlfriends. She has also co-starred in the Nickelodeon movie, Good Burger, with Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson and appeared in other films, such as Love & Basketball.

She is also recording an album to be released on Long Live Crime Records, an indie label in Los Angeles owned by Reece Mclaughlin and Susan Ferris. On her record label's MySpace page, they included a cover version of Britney Spears' hit song, "Toxic," sung by Jackson

Personal life

Jackson has two children with her former high school boyfriend. Their son, Donnie, was born in 1993 and their daughter, Cassie, was born in 1995. She was in a relationship with dancer-rapper, Kevin Federline and with him she has two children. Their daughter, Kori, was born on July 31, 2002, and their son, Kaleb, was born on July 20, 2004. Federline left her during her second pregnancy. Recently she has been linked to film director, Quentin Tarantino.

Is she not allowed to be multiracial b/c her phenotype leans more towards her African side than her Native American and Euro roots? Just curious?

Wikipedia says that her mother was African American/Native American. Father was Puerto Rican and Mexican. In a sister to sister interview she stated that her mothers mother is full blooded cherokee indian and her mothers father is Black and German (Probably Afro-German).

Her mother appears fully black, IMO. There is nothing in her phenotype that hints at a mixed background.

Her mother might very well have some Native ancestry. This is possible. She has a reddish hue to her brown skin that I've seen in some people with Native ancestry. She might have distant white or Asian ancestry. However, I still don't see how somebody who looks like that could have a white father. I'm not talking merely skin color here...I'm talking facial features.

Before people become offended by my comment, I'm not saying that a darker complexion invalidates a person's mixed heritage. I've known plenty of brown-skinned mixed folks but the fact is that they all had certain traits that were not typical, whether that was hair/eyes/features. You don't have to look completely white or completely Indian or whatever to be able to say you're mixed, but I'm cynical when a person who claims to be biracial has absolutely NO visible traits anywhere that would back up what they're saying. People often falsify their heritage to seem more acceptable.

I wasn't referring to her skin color...I know that can be a sensitive subject with some mixed folks of a darker complexion. I'm referring to facial features that don't line up with the claims of being a white man's daughter.
