Yeah, unfortunately some people on the boards, namely a Mother and daughter act, got get real paranoid and she has gone underground in her groups and is rarely seen in the public forums anymore.

Voala. She is a brilliant girl who was very involved in MGM movement on Yahoo groups all over the place. We had a few arguments here and there, but all in all I respected what she had to say. She had a few groups on other formats. She has associated herself with a few people, but I think the one that frustrated her the most was the Mother and Daughter team (Which at the time no one knew were mother and daughter), because first they advocated rights for mixed people, and they became good online friends. Then Mom and Daughter went on an only halfwhite or more equals mulato club (Which excluded Arana). It was such a shocking about face, that the last time I communicated with Arana, she was still convinced that people had infiltrated their accounts and were posing as them. Sadly that was not the case.

It is exclusively for MGM females, altho for some reason she invited me when she first started the group. In fact she asked me to be a mod, which i accepted, but I decided I didn't want to responsibility (I was tired of my inbox always being loaded), so I asked her to take me off of mod responsibilities, which she did. Then I just stopped visiting her group as much, and when I did I rarely posted. She cleaned house and deleted everyone who had not posted w/in a certain period of time so there went my account. I can't even remember the name of the group-- All I remember is it was hella exclusive because she was scared she would get trolls (which is understandable, being both a women's group as well as a multiracial one). I was one of the only first-gens in the group, she said she wasn't trying to excluded all of us because we brought certain unique experiences and perspectives. she seemed real nice whenever i did correspond w/ her.

Arana Fossett
Founder

www.thetopazclub.com

"I have been courageous for myself in ceasing to self-identify as being solely a 'black' woman in order to identify correctly as a biracial (multigenerational), mixed woman who recognizes ALL of her heritages.
How could I not be a multiracial/multicultural person when I have up to about 20 different ethnic backgrounds in my family? Half of them originated in Europe, and half of them originated in Africa. And a few of them were from here in America."
