Um, guys. I hate to dampen your fun, but unless either of you can come up with something new, this thread is not going anywhere.
I think that we all understand that Omar considers colorism to be an insignificant problem in Latin America compared to the horrific classism that prevents those born poor from even learning to read, much less from improving their lot.
And I think that we all understand that Caribj considers colorism to be a significant brake on Latin America because it is so palpably unjust that even international NGOs make it a top priority.
If no one has anything to add, may I suggest that we give it a rest for a few days?
