"Still, this has nothing to do with endogamous group membership or treatment of the family whose DNA has been shown to descend from Thomas Jefferson."

This is a strawman
The claim by one poster was that Black descendants (as far as they believe) have recieved discrimination.

Frank Sweet claimed that it was conclusively proven that the only Blacks claiming descendancy from Jefferson (or his family) have been conclusively diasmissed by a Y-Chromosome study.

I stated that there were possibilities still where some of those Black claimants were still viable descendants. Frank never presented any evidence to refute such possibilities.

All he did was stick to a repetitious claim that there was no evidence the descendants proven to be related to Jefferson's uncle considered themselves Black or received discrimination.

What he filed to address was that there were people out there who still claim blood relationship to Jefferson, that have not been conclusively proven to not be related, that do identify as Black and that have faced discrimination.

Furthermore, this whole argument is a big strawman by Frank as the point of the other poster was to state that even people who acknowledge Euroean ancestry and do not run away from it, but have phenotypes stereotyped as Black have received discrimination. Whether the purported Black descendants of Jefferson pan out as such or not, does not change this claim.

MP said: Those or that lady you claim to have dated and said she and her family wee descendants of Thomas Jefferson should have an DNA test done. Researchers will even give them a free DNA test to see if they descended from Thomas Jefferson. Also, what evidence did this young lady give to you Salsassin to prove that her family descended from Thomas Jefferson? I am not saying she or her family are not. Many black claim they have Native American ancestry an they say it like they have it all the way up to a minimum of 10% and 9% or less is very low and even 10% is not very much. More whites have Native American ancestry than blacks but even many whites who claim to have Native American ancestry have been proven wrong. So some whites like blacks have Native American ancestry but how much 10% and less, as like a said 10% or less is not much to brag about. Only a few whites and blacks have more than 10% Native American ancestry I assume. So people can make all kinds of claims based upon some family folklore, but until they get an DNA test it will remain folklore. Native American ancestry in many people is very low on average just look at their phenotypes. and, yes there could be black people out there who are descendants of Thomas Jefferson but have not been tested or don't even know they are.
