| So it's happening tonight; McCain decided to go. I'm just getting the thread ready right now... so we can discuss who whooped who's ass... |

Question: Will there be tele-prompters and pre-screened questions?

You know what's really sad? You can look at McCain... just by the way he looks, and what he said... the ONLY reason he wants to keep troops in Iraq until we "win" is because he has personal issues with losing Vietnam, and he's trying to settle them in Iraq. That's so sad, it's friggin' hillarious! |

Come on...that's just a personal opinion. You don't know that...

Dude, it was made obvious in his references to Vietnam as to why we should stay in Iraq.
But you know what the funny thing is? Nothing happened to the American people as a result of US troops pulling out of Vietnam. South Vietnam fell to North Vietnam, and no one in America cared! |

My assessment: McCain "won" the debate if by that you mean he controlled the flow and had more successful interruptions.
Obama "won" the debate if by that you mean he passed the Commander-in-Chief test on foreign policy for people who believe that his grasp of the same is somehow diminished because he hasn't been in the Senate for decades.
I found it hilarious that McCain couldn't even bring himself to look at Obama. Yeah, that's what I call showing a bipartisan and collaborative spirit. I guess he was trying to keep his temper under control.
Low point: The bracelet exchange. Just nauseating. |

I agree. I believe he has even said that Vietnam had that impact on him. |
