Kevin Mark Levrone (born July 16, 1966 in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.) is an IFBB professional bodybuilder, musician, and an actor. Kevin is half-Italian and half-African-American.
Biography
Kevin Levrone was noted in the bodybuilding world for his long bellied triceps and well-developed delts. He was known as the singer of the band, FulBlown. Levrone is currently trying to make a career for himself in Hollywood. His accomplishments, along with his roles in Hollywood which include Turk in the movie, Backlash, make Kevin a versatile entertainer.
Kevin Levrone never won a Mr. Olympia contest despite his reputation as the owner of one of the best physiques of all time. It had been rumored around the bodybuilding community that Levrone took up to 7 months off of his normal bodybuilding routine (no weight training, dieting, etc.) between Olympia contests. This is not an impossible claim because of Levrone's stellar genetics for bodybuilding, similar to those of Flex Wheeler and Ronnie Coleman. He spent a lot of his time off touring and performing with his band FulBlown.
Kevin is one of a small handful of bodybuilders considered by many to be the "Un-crowned Mr.Olympia", Shawn Ray and Flex Wheeler are the others. These men competed during and era dominated by Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman, on several occasions their second place finishes were widely criticized by fans and journalists.
Kevin holds 20 professional IFBB wins the most by any IFBB pro except only Vince Taylor and Ronnie Coleman. He's won the prestigious Arnold Classic 2 times ('94 and '96) and came second at the Mr.Olympia 4 times over the span of a decade('92, '95, '00 and '02). His loses in '00 and especially '02 were highly disputed, many boos could be heard throughout the stadium as the winner(Ronnie Coleman), who was not at his best, was announced.
Kevin has since moved to LA to pursue a career in acting. Although, he has never officially announced his retirement from bodybuilding. Kevin was recently a guest on Bodybuilding Talk radio, where he made the statement that he isn't done with bodybuilding. He claimed that it would take him only 18 weeks to get back into his previous contest shape of 245lbs. Though impossible for most, many agree that Levrone is one of the few bodybuilders who can actually accomplish this feat. Kevin went on record to say that he still intends to win a Mr.Olympia title.
Freelance writer Rod Labbe profiled Kevin for Iron Man magazine's "Legends of Bodybuilding" series (September 2007 issue). Entitled "The Process of Becoming," the interview delves deeply in what made Kevin a Bodybuilding champion and the man he is today. Kevin was so impressed with the work Labbe did that he asked Rod to come on board as his "personal writer."
Sprinting
In a bid to gain respectability from other sports, Levrone proclaimed himself to be the world's fastest man, based on a hand-timed 40m of 4.1 seconds. A challenge to race Olympic champion Maurice Greene was never met, but instead, British sprinter Dwain Chambers raced, and comprehensively beat Levrone over 60m.

"Kevin Levrone is determined to make a difference."
Kevin has mastered bodybuilding with postings of over 30 magazine covers, along with hundreds of articles around the world, he stands alone with 23 1st place titles, 18 2nd place titles, and 15 international championships. Levrone owns the best record in the 62 year history of the IFBB pro bodybuilding world to date.
With millions of fans around the world supporting him, Kevin has aimed his focus towards Hollywood following in the footsteps of his friend and mentor, superstar bodybuilder Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Levrone caught the acting bug after visiting Arnold on the movie set "End of Days". Kevin moved to Hollywood in 2005 and hit the ground running with a lean 6' 185 lb frame, Levrone is working on his third feature film. As Hollywood's newcomer, Kevin brings a new energy and style to the big screen. He continues to support his favorite charity Grant-A-Wish children's foundation, which he has for 15 years.
