For some unfathomable reason, we have gotten a surge in unacceptable messages lately. They may have been posted by new members who have not yet caught on to this site's purpose (eg.: MyMulatto, Soserious, Olorun, UrbanScribe). I cannot say for sure. In any event, they seem to fall into three categories:
1. Messages that simply repeat the same moral judgment over and over, without adding any new facts. (eg.: Dominicans are evil to refrain from "racially" self-identifying.)
2. Messages that contain unsubstantiated and unsourced factual claims. (eg.: There is a world-wide standard as to who is "black" or "white.")
3. Messages that adopt non-standard word usage without revealing this fact. (eg-1.: Argentineans are "racist" -- meaning that they fail to suppress genetic research). (eg-2.: Puerto Ricans today are engaged in a program of mass “genocide” -- meaning that Puerto Rico does not punish voluntary intermarriage). (eg-3.: The “Eugenics Program” of forced sterilization is as active as ever in the United States -- meaning that the U.S. does not punish voluntary abortion).
I have updated The Rules to try to stem the flow of such unacceptable messages. The changes are in the new Section B. I ask new members and moderators to please familiarize yourselves with the new rules in Section B. |
