I am sure I will get banned for saying something, but if so, I 'll just take that as that old Creole exclusion, racists or prejudice thing.
I just read a comment from somebody and it was basically saying that you are a dumbass. I am smart , intelligent, and educated and you are a dumbass. OK! List sites ,links, authors, etc. to support your post and opinion. Great , but for every link or site one lists, another person can find reliable sources stating the opposite. I am just a believer in that all have something to share and no one's word is the final word or is right. What is the point of having a site with adults if you cannot share and express your thoughts oh, and sources . If you do not AGREE, or really ,something is not true, then reword how you say it.

Food for thought...those who think they are smart ,educated or intelligent do not belittle other's . To belitte others makes you look ignorant and insecure. Have you ever heard of an educated fool?

Creole Gal says: To belittle others makes you look ignorant and insecure. Have you ever heard of an educated fool?''

Sometimes it can't be helped, e.g., as in ''further reading may help you understand the point.'' I think the phrase is terrific. So well-chosen, educated words and phrases carry impact too; you just have to know what you're reading. In other words, it doesn't have to be in your face dumbass to make it disparaging. Cool

That main thing to remember is present your argument in such a manner so as not to have it easily attacked without the opposition thinking about it a little. Wink

I like that phrase of yours about further reading and list sites. I am talking about some real insults I read yesterday. It was not directed to me. I did not post on that thread. It was very insulting and low. What is the other saying, " It is not what you say ,but how you say it." If you do not agree with someone fine, but the reply had a superior attitude was basically calling the other person a dumbass.
