Hello, all:

Please excuse my absence, but my grandmother, who had been ill for two years, got progressively worse during the past few weeks, and before 6:00 a.m. yesterday, she passed away. She was 96. I realize she lived a long life, and the Alzheimer's disease and dementia didn't really affect her until she was about 93, but this doesn't make losing her any easier. She was a wonderful, grandmother, as was my other grandmother who passed in 2003. Now I have no grandparents left at all. For those so inclined, please say a prayer. Thanks.

William,

My deepest sincere sympathies to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

You are so lucky to have had a grandparent at this stage of your life. My grandmother whom I was close to passed away 34 years ago Saturday, June 2, 1973 at not quite 64. I had just turned 11 two days before. My mothers mom passed after about two years of Alzhemiers when she left from my uncles house where she was living and was missing for two days, Christmas 1994.

Enough about me, again my deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Dean

William, please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. I've just said a prayer for your Grandmother's soul and to console you and your family.

Unfortunately, I also know how it feels to to lost your last grandparent.

Be well.

William I am so sorry for your loss. I have been dealing with unexpected illness in my family (my mom) for the past 2 weeks and though difficult, there is no comparison. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

William, how blessed you are to have had someone like your grandmother in your life, and for such a long time. She will always be a part of your world because love never dies.

Thanks again, everyone. Please excuse my absence. I should be back in the game a week from Monday. I'm taking a much-needed holiday. We had a lot of stuff to settle re my grandmother's estate and the like.
