Aliens from outter space and race mixing,if aliens from outer space came to earth and had sex with white people and had mixed race children they children would viewed as mixed race .but if blacks have sex and have mixed race children with these very same people from outterspace there children would be one drop again even thouth they had sex with the same aliens that whites had sex with. I think it depends on the alien race/ethnicity. Romulan and Vulcan genes are said to be weak. They also resemble humans more than other alien races/ethnicities. So the offspring of either of these two aliens with a black or white person would produce a child that looks identical to its human parent-except for the pointy ears. Furthermore, the two alien cultures are said to be less accepting of mixed-species offspring. Just look at the hard time Spock had growing up as the child of a human mother. Consequently, the children of these mixed-species marriages or relationships tend to identify as human and take on the racial identity of their human parent. Andoreans and Klingons on the other hand are said to have very strong genes. Hence, the offspring of a black person and either of those two alien races/ethnicities would produce a child that looks like an Andorean or Klingon. A relative of mine who used to work at Star Fleet Command and has traveled both to Klingon and Andora told me that those two alien cultures claim beings with human admixture as members of their community. According to him they are more accepting than either Vulcans or Romulans of inter-species marriage and offspring. I can't confirm this because I've never been to either planet, though. In one episode he was asked why his skin was brown. He explained that on every planet with humanoids, those whose ancestors come from lower latitudes have more dermal melanin than those from higher latitudes. Given that, I am not sure how one could tell if an alien has human admixture or simply has admixture from different regions of his/her own planet. White humans are referred to as "pink skin" (see "Enterprise" t.v. series) by Andorans, and the offspring between the two, if it had pinkish bluish skin, might be ostracized. I wonder, though, if a Nigerian and an Andoran had children they wouldn't be a kind of navy or royal blue in color....With larger than normal antenna (on average of course), more muscle definition, but less resistance to the harsh Andoran cold. I hate to get all technical on you, but if humans could procreate with "aliens from outer space", then most likely we are the same species as them, unless all of our alien/human kids were sterile. That having been said, I do understand what you were getting at. The premise behind the one drop rule is so disgusting and insulting and the manner in which it is still adhered to/enforced to this day is very perplexing. If your hypothetical scenario were to come true, I agree with you that there would be the alien/humans and the BLACK alien/humans. Ho hum. What makes African blood such a threat to people? Star Trek Next Generation had an episode where a group like the FBI were trying to root out traitors. And they were interogating someone who was 1/4th or 1/8th Romulan. (His grandfather was a Romulan) He was passing as being partial Vulcan. He had the shape of the Romulan ears but his tips weren't sharp it was flat. If earthling are able to reproduce with aliens, the race would not matter, Our fear factor would kick in from all angles and we would most likely treat the aliens and the mixed offspring as misfits and unnatural. Well, according to Stargate Command, the other planets were populated with various peoples plucked from earth. So, I suppose, under the right circumstances, depending on the type of sun(s), distance from the sun(s), chemical content of the atmosphere, food sources, etc. of the colonial planets that PERHAPS Homo sapiens may have evolved into Volcans and Andorans, but, wow, Klingons and Romulans!? Maybe they lived underground for a few generations or something! But, yes, I am saying that a "species" is able to interbreed and produce offspring that can interbreed. So, I suppose we're all one people in this great multiverse.
