MP: The last time I checked you were either labeled black or white in this country, and both blacks and whites continue to push as collectives the ODR. Therefore, there is no mulatto this or that that is recognized nationally by the government. You are either black or white. So your statement is very inaccurate. Go up to the average black person and mention mulatto this or mulatto that and they will tell you “oh no” you are talking about black people. They don't recognize a separate mulatto identity.

That's not true at all. Mulatto, Mixed Breed "he's a mixed child" half in half were regular terms I heard growing up used by Black Americans when identifying someone who was biracial

The non achieving life style that you mention is based upon how blacks are perceived by others not based upon how mulattoes are perceived. How can you perceive a mulatto when the average mulatto is stereotyped as being a black person. And all of the negative reputations and perceptions that blacks have are then transferred towards the mulattoes. In order for your statement to be valid you need to have a separate mulatto culture that is not apart of black and white America, and then we can see if there is self hate and high levels of crime etc your argument is a straw man.

From my experience and observations mulattoes were consider higher than blacks in status long ago. On top of that, from my experience the mulattoes have a reputation of being good looking, stuck up because they have high self esteem because of their European ancestry, higher intelligence, etc these are the reputations that personally hear about mulattoes in America. They do not have a reputation of self hate as a collective.

So mulatto who is black identified and filled with self hate I highly doubt it is the result of being a mulatto. It more than likely is the result of being black identified and viewing himself or herself as black, and not viewing themselves as a separate identity from African Americans.

There is no major mulatto pro black pan African identify running through America. Africans will never allow something like this, you are either pro African American or not. Why would they let somebody identify as mulatto which would eventually cause a breaking away from African Americans into a separate identity. Your statement is false and a straw man and you knew it before you wrote it.
Some of the people you would call mulatto don't even view themselves as mulatto but as African American. You use the term mulatto possibly to appease people who might view you as anti black. Because they would notice you are very obsessed with posting about African Americans. And most of these posting are not very favorable, and they are mostly about how unpleasant African Americans are.

This shows some kind semi obsession with African Americans, it could secret sexual attraction for people who are deemed inferior, and yet hating ones self for being attracted to them. You remind me of many Hispanics who imitate African Americans culture especially hip hop and black gang culture, and commit hate crimes against African Americans. Why imitate what you hate?

The reality is we don't want to give African Americans credit and the pleasure of knowing that they are loved and admired for their strong personalities, handsome features, uniqueness, cultural habits, etc you don't want to give African Americans the pleasure of knowing. It is a blow to the ego to give them this pleasure of knowing that they can influence you, and influence is power.

There is a possibility that some people post about African Americans all the time because they sexually attracted to them and dislike themselves for it. I have seen theses types of hypocrites.

1.Melanie23 can you please produce recent sources that show there is a separate group called mulattoes whom have category on the government census form – that recognizes them as a separate ethnic group from African Americans and white Americans.

2. Also can you produce recent sources and references that show that there is a separate category that have separated mulattoes from African Americans, and show how much crime mulattoes commit, how much self hate, and IQ level of the average mulatto.

3. Produce a source that shows a collective group of American mulattoes, who say that they are not African Americans but mulattoes but yet go around saying they are 'mulatto' pro-Black/pan-African 'consciounceess' extremism. As far as to my knowledge there is no such thing that is accepted as this pro mulatto black American consciousness that all African Americans agree to. Maybe it is like this, some people secretively hate African Americans but don't want to pick up that jack (reputation and record) of posting constant negative post about African Americans, and their so called inferiority and culture inferiority so they start saying things about Mulattoes (as mulattoes have a separate ethnic category recognized by the government) as smoke screen to horrible things about African American inferiority, crime, low IQ etc therefore, to F. Sweet from going after them.

I would be very interested in reviewing your sources for my own increase-meant of knowledge.

Now this one I can relate to. I worked in Denver on a contract a couple years back. One night I was in a club on their "black night", sipping on a drink and this woman said hi to me. Physically she wasn't really my type so I responded "hi" and that was about it

couple of minutes later

her: "So you are a republican huh"

me: "What?"

her: "You are republican"

me: "No I am not"

Silence for another few minutes

her: "So you only date Mexicans and white girls?"

me: "What the hell are you talking about?"

her: "I see your type: the way you dress, the way you act, the way you talk. You come in here and look down on black women" (mind you I was wearing jeans, a pair of boots and a blazer) "Well some of us have things going on. I have a college degree. I'm educated"

me: "I've been here for all of 10 minutes and you think you know me. I am not from Denver and have no idea what you are talking about. Furthermore my mother is a black woman, my sister is a black woman, my grandparents are black women, the mother of my child (threw that in there to put her off) is a black woman. How could I not love black women?"

her: "oh." *blushes* "Where are you from? My name is blahblahblah. I live in the Springs and I have a 3 month old baby. *insert more boring drivel*"

me: "Oh that's nice. I'll be right back - I need to find the restroom..."

Frye Harness. Well if that is the boot-of-choice for young republicans I guess I'm gonna have to change parties. Fabulous.

I love those boots. And when I decide to finally get another motorcycle they will fit right in.

while we're on the topic of Mulatto Raciale Loyalty;
i was hoping you all would share your ideas on:
Spousal Choice Amongst Mixed-Americans.
[e.g, why we tend to practice Monoracial Americans' taboo of interracial dating/marriage despite our mixedness, etc.]...THANX! Wink

A very interesting concept but it seems that we should be choosing those who share views, life choices, goals, etc instead of choosing someone because they are of a specific colour!

Mulatos, as a mixed group, do not always have the same phenotype and social atttributes and I also I realize we are painting all with the same brush, which is unreliable.
