It sounds interesting. I have so many books to buy and read yet, so I will keep this one in mind. If you've read it maybe you could elaborate on it further.
I have cousins who openly admit to playing the race card, mostly in educational grant situations, or letting whatever group of people they are with at the time assume them to be the same race as they are, so as to fit in any situation. They have at least three race cards to play with. White, Native American, or mixed (w/black)-race. Blacks in the mainstream would never believe they were black, since their appearance is white. I suppose this book addresses those scenarios as well, not sure, so in the meantime, something from the Washington Post:
