OneDropRule

The OneDropRule internet discussion group emphasizes the study of U.S. racialism as an abstract cultural phenomenon. It tries to take a scholarly or academic slant on things and emphasizes the history, genetics, sociology, physical anthropology, and cultural anthropology of the U.S. "race" notion.

OneDropRule is hosted by Backintyme Publishing, a subsidiary of Boxes and Arrows, Inc., and is managed by Frank W. Sweet. It is moderated by G-Man, Gemini072, and Liana.

Hello,

Mulatto Renaissance is a more serious site than Mulatto Community. It explores the Mulatto consciousness in America and Worldwide. This is not "hate" site nor politically correct website. However, a pro-Mulatto site. This site geared towards an serious intellectual level that focus on serious matters. A website that focus on issues like race, identity, culture, heritage, history, civilization, family, education, ect. Also, the preservation, security, and advancement of the Mulatto in America and worldwide. I know there is smart serious minds on this forum that are experts and students of mulatto history, admixed populations, miscegenation, color line, genetics, eugenics, odr, racialism, ect. I know some of you would love to help contribute to MR. I strongly encourage articles that bring to light facts or events not generally known to those that reinterpret what is already common knowledge. There are no hard and fast rules concerning word count. You will be contacted in a couple of days after receiving your submission regarding acceptance or not. To submit essays and reviews email mulattoren@msn.com . Visit http://mulattoren.tripod.com . To recieve updates, articles, news, events, new websites and other information of interest, you can join MR announce/Newsletter at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mulattoren_announce/ .

It not all complete, but it will be up and running by June 1st.

Thank You
RJ

Kalima, by what standards do you claim that your mother is "black" and only "passes for white"? Judging by the description of her family of origin that you provide on your web site, THEY aren't "black" either. They seem to be mixed white Creoles who play both sides of the so-called color line.

I find it amazing that some liberal white women like you, Jillian Sim, Bliss Broyard, Julia Westerinen, etc. accept the slander that their parents or ancestors were not good enough for their European ancestry and only "looked white." It is obvious that you need to do a lot of reading on this subject. May I recommend that you start with:

Her family identifies as Black, and stated to me that she did up until she left. She herself uses terms such as "high yella" to refer to light-skinned Blacks. She's made comments that indicate to me she still sees herself as Black and is trying not to let anyone find out.

My family members on my mother's side include every imaginable shade of skin tone. All identify Black. You now want me to tell them how to identify themselves?

My community is for those who have had part of their heritage hidden from them and are now interested in discussing that.

I don't identify as liberal. I am a centrist Republican.
