Miss America 1984 - Vanessa Williams
Miss America 1990 - Debbye Turner
Miss_America 1994 - Kimberly Aiken
Miss United States 2002 - Rebekah Revels

Rebekah Revels, is a member of my tribe, The Lumbee. She identifies as Native American, and although we are tri-racial, I don't think she would be counted as a black Miss America, but considers herself a Native American Miss America (former and brieifly).

EMBA001. “Catching up with . . . Rebekah Revels. Embattled ex-Miss N.C. has moved on.” Charlotte Observer Monday, July 18, 2005: B1.

Publication type: Newspaper article

One photograph

Staff writer Jennifer Rothacker interviewed Revels, now 27. Revels, who won the 2002 Miss North Carolina Pageant. Revels resigned her post after an ex-boyfriend, Tosh Welch, e-mailed the Miss America organization that he had topless photographs of her and would make them public. Revels sued Welch and won $11,000 in damages.

Revels is now working in public relations for the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. She has signed with a modeling agency in Atlanta and will soon move there. She has also been involved in other activities, including music (she has self-produced a min-album and is currently working with a music producer in Nashville); coaching girls for pageants, judging pageants, and some public appearances. She has litigation pending against the Miss North Carolina organization.

Okay, thank you Gemini for providing some evidence too.

You are mistaken Sag in your analysis of my logic. However I do not care to discuss it anymore, because as I said, I made a personal obsevation not a statement of fact. And in order to satisfy you, I will have to prove my position correct - that is far too time-consuming.

I will thus leave it a draw:

Gemini provided some evidence, and so did I. Without futher investigation, on the face of things, we cannot tell whose position is naturally stronger.

Which is fine. Wink
