|
|
There was a TV doc that came on over here in the UK called '100% English' that sampled well known Brits who proudly self proclaim they are '100% English' and then get their dna tested to show otherwise
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100%25_English
I remember watching through the show and when it came to the ex-politician Norman Tebbit who was tested and described as a typical Englishman by pals but found to be having 75% northern European and 25% southern European genes. The 25% southern European genes could be because of a Neolithic era then again wrong
I am half way into downloading it from somewhere currently
Is there any histroy of study taken across European countries of the Northern location such including Britain, France, German, Sweeden charts here from any particular study, I would like to see
.... btw I already have heard of admixture in other areas of europe like the mediterean (south europe) and eastern europe simply because of those areas located next to other continents, but never heard anything on northern part
sorry for the long question and typing errors if any |

| Also, there are several peer-reviewed research reports in Various Admixture Studies, especially under "Scandinavia" and "Western Europe." |
