I've heard people who's interviewed for these talk shows say that they reject multiracial individuals and families who are "too normal" and look for people who promote a negative image.
Note here that Tyra interrogates, condemns and "psychoanalyzes" the dark-skinned woman who identifies as "white" ("Look in the mirror!") but applauds the Euro phenotype women who identify as "black." She doesn't tell THEM to "Look in the mirror" or accuse them of self-hatred.

Ha....I wouldn't take the show seriously....I doubt some of the guests on the show are real. Some of these characters seem contrived. I mean a dark-skinned biracial woman who carries a rebel flag, wears a klan hood, and doesn't like black people....Come on. 
Applauding the more or less Euro looking women for identifying as black is expected anyway. To many this is how they are supposed to see themselves. |

I remembered watching this show a couple weeks or months ago, I wasn't too impressed with it. The bircial female who's phenotype showed more SSA than Caucasian admixture identified more with her Caucasian side and she recieved a great deal of attitude from the audience. She was legitimate in her identification, but it was hard to take her seriously because she was an immature teenager, doing things like taking pictures with KKK inspired garments as a joke, which the audience & Tyra found not to be a laughing matter. I also found it dissapointing that Tyra had the African American mother on the show, but not the Caucasian father of the teenager who she identified with racially. I guess her show, her rules.
I stopped DVR'ing the Tyra Show because despite having some controversial show topics, the show is basically one POV (Tyra's), and nothing is more boring than a one sided conversation on a talk show. |

That's why I'm very skeptical about the first guest. People with contrived personas have appeared on talk shows before. We really have no way of verifying if this person is for real, and I doubt if the show takes pains to make sure its guests aren't perpetrating a fraud.
The other two guests at the beginning were more believable, specifically the half black half Puerto Rican guest. I know one or two people like her. |

I can't even bear to watch the Tyra Banks show. Between her and her over-the-top wigs and the self promotion of America's Next Top Model, the show proved to be too much for my stomach!
She's the next Ricki Lake not Oprah! She only gets the Oprah comparisons because they are both Black women. Ricki Lake use to do the same sympathetic hostess act while constantly promoting ignorance to boost ratings. |

Talk Shows and Reality Shows are the place for people trying 2 get their 5 minutes of fame. Sometimes even the 'normal' people can be made up characters.
From what I've witnessed on her show and the ANTM show, she comes across pro-Multiracial, I even remember her saying on the talk show "I have a lot of friends who are Multiracial" |
