I watched . Thanks for the information .
I assume from your posts, DC,you are anti-Obama,anti-Nat.Healthcare. If I am wrong, correct me and I am sorry.
This Health Care Official only spoke of three most extreme cases.
Illegals, their kids, the mothers all get health care from Medicad or just show up at the hospital. It is one factor crippling Amer. Health Care and the money is not just a lost or write off.
There is no such thing as a free lunch for those who pay, that is.
If our govt. would not take care of illegals, the Hispanic people of FL would NOT stand for it. Same goes for Texas.
I agree this is an abuse of resources and it is one reason why our HC System is where it is.
I am not picking on Hispanic people, but this for illegals is ridiculous. It is going to stay and they will cont. to get all and any HC services they need and want.
The HCSystem needs overhauling, but as usual, our govt.is going about the wrong things, wrong people. Then you have people repeating Republican nonsense about Democrats wanting socialized medicine....who wants to wait like a Canadian for weeks ,maybe months for crucial services.
Our govt.needs to overhaul HC, but it won't. It is not the American way.
Simple to me-don't treat illegals and send them back, but that would anger the Hispanic people of TX and FL costing one side, R or D votes, and the U.S. must appease the countries of Central and South America.
As for the Canadian wait for months, and not being allowed to pick your own doctors, treatment, etc.,I am sure our Americans without HC, students over 21yrs.,people working for small businesses, part-time people etc., would go for that rather than what they have now which is NOTHING! Right now they have: 1) Die 2)Go to Dr. Walgreens or Dr.CVS. If these people can't find any meds on the shelf, then they too can run up a state bill in ER. 3) Pay for themselves, but realistically, one cannnot pay for things like a mamogram, surgery, etc. 4) Just die!
Socialzied medicine, what do you call Medicare and Medicaid ! The Welfare Queens and kids are insured from head to toe, inside and out. They also go to private doctors and private hospitals . There are private doctors and hosptials taking Medicaid.
Over 65'ers get Medicare if they wish to take it.I know one needs a supplemental private HC with Medicare .
Why not have something for American working people who have nothing?
Our country needs this and I support Obama, but the Republican and Democrats won't make this simple. Which ones of them really read that 1000 page bureacratic mess about HC Reform ? Our country looks out to appease foreign countries first. Illegals will continue to drain the HC system. Working people with enough hours in companies that can provide HC, are getting their benefits chipped away and it costs so much money out of a paycheck. Illegals, poor people ,Welfare moms and kids and the elderly will cont. to receive Medicaid and Medicare . The only people who have nothing are the working poor Americans.

Yes, I am anti-Obama, no question. National Health care sounds nice on paper, but I do not think it will work as planned. It will create another bureaucratic monstrosity. There must be a better way, I wish I had the answer. I am not about to trust the government (bureaucrat) with my health.
I think this administration needs sound opposition. Right now, too many people are afraid to voice their opposition. I am not. I am called all kinds of names by my own family because of it, and it does not faze me.

The country needs health care reform. The issue is what kind of reform, the trade offs, and the cost.
I don't take Obama seriously on this issue because of his political orientation. Modern left/liberals like Obama want to be all things to all people. He definitely doesn't think in terms of trade offs, so it's safe to assume he has no intention of clamping down on illegal immigration, which has imposed costs on public health systems in many cities in the U.S.
I predict if his version of health care reform passes, there will be more explicit rationing of healthcare in this country. We already do this through pricing. Our debt will also increase. As some sources of the post-reform costs on the state are identified (i.e., illegal immigrants), there will be intense pressure to not contain them.

Sound is right. There are too many loons out there who claim that he is some communist, crypto-Muslim who wasn't born in the U.S. People like these make it all the more difficult to offer substantive criticism of Obama.
