If sub-saharan (as opposed to north African) markers were found, it would certainly be persuasive.

I'm still puzzled why this forum dedicated to science still condones the archaic notion of ‘SSA Black’ meaning ‘True Negroes,’

Off-topic. This forum does no such thing. Please post questions about site policy in the "Site Management" forum.

I will consider opening twenty new threads but perhaps you can adress this little thing, for now. I have always wondered why you guys use this thing, even by the black lady on your staff. Yall are not racialist yet you come off sounding like the worst kind with this SSA business used over and over again.

Apparently you are equating use of DNA markers, which vary among populations and so track prehistoric migrations, with racialism. Your concern is unfounded and illogical.

Use of DNA Markers

Ever since Toba's eruption 74 kya, our species has flourished and colonized the globe. Many thousands of populations have adapted to local conditions, affecting their genomes in measurable ways, and many thousands of other populations have inherited traits from a handful of founding families, also measurably affecting their genomes.

DNA markers let us distinguish between New Guineans and Australians, as well has to differentiate both from central Asians or from southern Africans. Furthermore, knowing the date when each marker first appeared lets us track migrations. For example, certain markers track the re-colonization of Europe after the ice melted about 12 kya. Others track the migration of Indo-European speakers westwards from Asia. Still others delineate the spread of Bantu-speaking agriculturalists eastward across Africa, displacing the indigenous hunter-gatherers.

This site encourages use of DNA markers because they reveal much about the our species' past migrations.

Racialism

Racialism is the belief that the diversity of humanity can be classified into a handful of "races" or sub-species. This site does not tolerate racialism. Indeed, this site is explicitly dedicated to studying racialism, especially the bizarre version of racialism enshrined in U.S. popular culture and laws.

I honestly do not understand how you can conflate use of DNA markers with advocacy of racialism. Please feel free to ask for more specific clarification.

Dear Mr. Sweet,

You have been forever starting new threads in my name, which is not sweet, and it would be more accurate if you somehow mentioned that you started the thread on my behalf without asking me. Consequently I have refrained from posting in these kind of threads. Then the titles you come up with are strange and sometimes demeaning. Like putting words in my mouth which I would never utter. Please, I really do not care for that kind of humor. Open threads under your own name.
