This episode includes many stereotypes. A family with a totally white identity and no knowledge of any but white ancestors immediately embrace a "black" identity. The main character then tries to hang out with blacks and find his "real" culture. His wife is happy to be sleeping with a "black" man and a cop pulls him over for driving while "black." The main character, "Peter," discovers that his in-laws' ancestor once owned his slave ancestor and the father-in-law gives him thousands of dollars in "reparations."
